LuneTerms of service
LAST UPDATED 9 AUGUST 202601Who we are
Lune is a decentralised interface maintained by an independent team of contributors. It is not a registered company, does not take custody of your assets, and does not act as a counterparty to any loan. References to “we”, “us” or “our” mean the maintainers of the Lune interface.
02What this site is · and is not
This website is an interface: it displays data read from public blockchains and third-party price sources, and it helps you construct transactions that you sign and submit with your own wallet. We do not take custody of your assets, hold private keys, execute transactions on your behalf, or operate as a counterparty to any loan. The lending protocol itself consists of smart contracts that execute on-chain and are not controlled by this website. They are not, however, ownerless: an owner account can list and disable collateral, adjust tier and fee parameters within the limits compiled into the contracts, change the treasury address, pause new borrowing, and write off defaulted loans. The docs page lists those powers and their hard-coded limits in full.
Nothing on this site is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and nothing here is an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any asset. Figures shown in US dollars are display estimates from third-party sources and are not the values the protocol transacts at.
03Risk disclosure
The protocol issues fixed-term, non-recourse loans against highly volatile collateral. Miss a repayment deadline and the entire pledged collateral is forfeited · not merely the portion covering the debt. Collateral tokens can lose most or all of their value in hours. The smart contracts are unaudited. You can lose everything you deposit, pledge or lend. Only interact with amounts you can afford to lose entirely.
04Eligibility and compliance
You may use this site only if doing so is lawful where you live. You are responsible for your own tax obligations and for compliance with any laws that apply to you, including sanctions and financial-services rules in your jurisdiction. Do not use this site if you are subject to sanctions administered by the UK, EU, UN or US, or located in a jurisdiction where use of decentralised lending protocols is prohibited.
05No warranty
The site and the information on it are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the site will be available, accurate, or error-free, that price feeds are correct, or that the smart contracts will behave as described. Blockchain data shown may lag or be reorganised.
06Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the maintainers of Lune and their contributors shall not be liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or of the protocol, including loss of assets, profits, or data, whether in contract, tort or otherwise. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including for fraud.
07Changes
We may change these terms at any time by posting an updated version at this address with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
08Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable law, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts. If a change is needed, an updated version will be posted at this address.
